RMS Computer Corporation Java Developer Job Description

NO Third Parties - agencies wishing to sub contract will not be allowed. One year term for this contract. All consultants must be available to join RMS as either w2 or corp to corp.

Project Description - Must be able to work up to 12 - 14 hours a day. This is a Professional day. That means, OT will commence at the 12th hour. Hours 9 and 10 worked are incorporated into the 8 hour professional daily rate. This is strictly production support role where experience supporting an application 24X7 must be evident to be considered.

Technologies used

Back-end: Java, J2EE, Webservices
Front-end: HTML, XML, Applets, Adobe Flex
Database: Oracle 10G
Web Application Server: Weblogic

Incident management and trouble shooting. mid-high level and must have strong communication skills. Must have production support experience in a J2EE environment. Tech them out in Java/J2EE and Oracle.

Local candidates only

Education: B.A. or B.S. degree or 4 years of equivalent experience in a related field.
General Experience: Must have 6 years of computer experience in at least two of the following disciplines: systems analysis, systems programming, application programming, and equipment analysis, experience providing production support for a 24x7 application.

Specialized Experience: At least 3 year of experience developing applications using advanced technologies, such as Internet protocols or web-based technology.

Technologies include: Java/J2EE, Weblogic/Webphere, Oracle, PL/SQL SQL, Actuate BI/Reporting, VB, SQL Server. POS (point-of-sale) scanning/imaging.

Duties: Must provide production support for a 24x7 application, manage issues, provide level-3 support, and perform break-fixes. This includes carrying a pager and being on call during a rotation.
