Stanley Associates, one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” in 2008, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced security professional. Stanley is looking for a team player to help grow the security posture of the network and supporting applications. The Security Engineer will be at the forefront of the analysis, design and implementation of new security products and practices.
Specific Duties:
• Responsibility for Stanley’s firewalls and IDS/IPS equipment. The Security Engineer will identify new site or upgrade requirements, designing a solution, and implementing new security architectures.
• The creation, implementation, and maintenance of the Security Policy and COOP/DR plans. The Security Engineer will test the COOP/DR to ensure that the system and procedures execute as required.
• Will perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to ensure that the Stanley network is secure. Vulnerabilities will be prioritized and remediated on a timely basis.
• The Security Engineer should be familiar with MS Windows operating systems, security controls, and server hardening. Additionally, experience with alternate operating systems, software, and applications development to ensure that best practices are implemented would be beneficial.
• Will be responsible for physical security devices and entry control systems.
• Act has a mentor to junior members of the team, helping foster team spirit and growth.
Bachelors Degree in Information Security, Information Systems Management, Telecommunications or Networking subject or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years related work experience required.
Additional Requirements:
• Ability to successfully complete the Stanley Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education and Employment; Additionally, your ability to successfully complete a Credit and/or Driving Records Checks may be conducted if required by the contract for continued employment.
• Ability to travel up to 25% or less.
• Experience with Cisco routers, switches, IDS/IPS, firewalls and Cisco MARS. An in depth knowledge of MS Windows or other operating systems.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CSM, or CCSP are desirable.
• Must be able to lift and handle equipment up to 25lbs.
Preferred Skills:
• A Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Information Security, Information Systems Management, Telecommunications or Networking subject. In lieu of a degree, five years of experience.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CSM, or CCSP preferred.
• Possession of an active Secret/Top Secret security clearance preferred.
