T&G Management Field Service Mechanic Job Description

T&G Management Services is part of Kärcher Group, a global leader in building and equipment maintenance. We have over 35 years of experience providing service and after-market parts to the large retail store industry nationwide, repairing and supplying parts for floor cleaning and material handling equipment. We are currently seeking a self-motivated Field Service Mechanic to join our high caliber team of professionals in the Columbia, SC area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Daily interaction with customers providing the highest levels of service and productivity
* Recognizing and securing additional revenue opportunities
* Responsible for van inventory and accuracy
* Continuous responsive communication with Dispatch call center to receive assignments and report status
* Responsible for safety of van and for assuring that regular vehicle maintenance checks are performed
* Daily completion and submission of documentation (work orders, parts replenishment, time sheets, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS

* Repairing and maintaining Floor Care equipment (scrubbers, burnishers & extractors)Repairing Material Handling equipment (electric pallet jacks, forklifts, conveyors & dock plates) a plus
* 2-3 years of basic electro mechanical exp (AC/DC circuit exp a plus)
* Service industry exp a plus
* Clean driving record
* Works well in a team atmosphere and independently
* Good oral and written communication skills
* High school diploma or equivalent
