Inforonics LLC Windows Systems Administrator Job Description

The Windows Systems Administrator provides operational support for servers running various versions of Microsoft Windows in an Internet-centric multi-customer production environment. Knowledge of and experience with Windows based Internet applications is required. Work includes operating system and hardware system setup, server monitoring, troubleshooting, performance analysis and scripting. This is an opportunity for a motivated and energetic individual to gain a tremendous amount of experience working directly with senior staff and clients in a highly diverse and challenging environment.

Requires strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. Standard system administration tasks are performed, including but not limited to, new system builds, repair of failed systems, scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance. Knowledge of customer specific procedures and processes as well as creation and maintenance of process and procedure documentation is performed, as is accurate tracking and reporting of time spent on various projects and client problems.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3+​ years of experience providing Windows system administration with strong experience working with Exchange, internet based systems and applications. A demonstrated knowledge of Windows operating system and common applications is essential. Candidates with in-depth knowledge of Internet protocols such as HTTP, SMTP, FTP, NFS, iSCSI, DNS, NTP, and RTSP are preferred.
